Senior Quantitative Risk Analyst - Data Quality & Data Governance (Remote Work Environment Available)

Purpose of JobThis role will be responsible for driving the implementation of the data quality program across the Enterprise Risk and Compliance Reporting teams in accordance with the Enterprise Information policy and standards.
Working closely, and cross functionally with the Data Stewards, Architects, Accountable Executives, and Enterprise Partners to ensure we design and implement an efficient and effective data quality measurement program for critical data elements.
Building on your passion for data quality, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills to advance the data quality program in USAA's Enterprise Risk and Compliance organization.
This position is available in our San Antonio or Plano, TX or Phoenix locations.
100% remote work environment is also available.
Provides risk management support for a line of business or staff agency in key risk identification, measurement and aggregation, and the understanding and management of risk through appropriate quantitative and analytical practices and processes.
Conducts and develops quantitative and analytic models, assessments and/or applications in support of risk management efforts that assess the market and identify risks and gaps in existing or proposed processes.
Applies diverse methodologies and deep experience in quantitative analytics to identify and solve complex and/or undefined risk problems.
Monitors the risk and control environment to ensure that exposures are kept at acceptable levels and may consult on risk mitigation plans.

Responsibilities:
Utilizes advanced analytics to assess future risk, opportunities, and effectiveness and translates results into meaningful solutions to enhance decision making.
Applies advanced knowledge and industry best practices to quantify risk and aggregate exposures.
Engages in model validation and produces model validation reports.
Applies innovative and scientific/quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make recommendations to answer business objectives and drive change.
Translates recommendations into communication materials to effectively present to colleagues for peer review and management.
Applies advanced knowledge to produce advanced analytical material for discussions with cross functional teams to understand complex business objectives and influence solution strategies.
Provides mentorship to other team members in the peer review process.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or other quantitative discipline.
4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
6 years related quantitative analysis experience in a discipline relevant to risk management to include statistical analysis, modeling, mathematics or other quantitative discipline OR advanced degree/designation in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or other quantitative discipline and 4 years work experience in a quantitative discipline relevant to risk management OR PhD in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative discipline and up to 2 years work experience in a quantitative discipline relevant to risk management.
Preferred
Experience:
Experience in implementing a Data Quality program in a financial institution, ideally as part of both a defensive (Regulatory) and offensive (Growth) program.
Demonstrated ability designing and implement automated, simple, practical and sustainable processes.
A detail orientated, natural curious individual that can understand the complex, but communicate it in simple terms to all levels of the organization.
Technical experience - SQL, R, Python, Tableau or equivalentStrong analytics skills with a passion for data quality The ability to influence without authority, be comfortable with ambiguity and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive.
You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.
The salary range for this position is:
$88,200.
00 - $158,900.
00 (this does not include geographic differential it may be applied based on your work location)Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
Geographical Differential:
Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.
Shift premium will be addressed on an individual basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
